And I wonder how many Chinese can spell that last one.

(I think it was "sneeze" that I once read many Chinese can't spell, but I wonder whether this might be similar -- something you talk about often enough but probably don't have much cause to read or write, leading to people forgetting the character.)

"Sneeze" (噴嚏) was singled out by David Moser in his wonderful rant; Victor Mair followed up to that by mentioning "awkward" (尷尬).

So imagine my surprise at seeing one of the "sneeze" characters show up in one of the botanical names on this page.
