"Saumseligkeit" (the beautiful twin to ghastly "Schwellenangst") was voted favourite word some years ago by some, erm, Duden kind of Gremium.

(Pardon the woolly statement, I'm sure a more precise form is googleable.)

I love this word, bordering on fetishism. Nothing I'd use too often, though.

Dobladillo is one of my favourite words. For I don't know which reason... It just sound funny.

About the "entrepeu", I had never heard of that word and the expression "hacer el dobladillo" is usually said as "fer/arreglar les vores" (http://ec.grec.net/lexicx.jsp?GECART=0143628)
