Piece of cake!

Bhagavato = lord
bhaiṣajya = healing
guru= teacher
vaiḍūrya-prabhasya = of-cat's-eye-gem-master
= of the Lord Medicine Buddha

pūrva = first
praṇidhāna = vow
viśeṣa = specificity
vistāra = enumeration
= enumeration of the specific original vows

= The enumeration of the specific original vows of the Lord Medicine Buddha

My partner Steve and I were very big on भैषज़यराज, the Medicine Buddha, back when he had AIDS in the mid-eighties. Not that it did a damn bit of good.

Actually, lapis lazuli is a better translation than "cat's-eye-gem", despite what the dictionaries say. The color of the Medicine Buddha is a deep, rich, midnight blue.

Ooh can you do another? I tried to analyse śabdasamarpyamāṇahṛdayasaṃvādasundaravibhāvānubhāvasamucitaprāgviniviṣṭaratyādivāsanānurāgasukumārasvasaṃvidānandavarvaṇāvyāpārarasanīyarūpaḥ by myself, but I failed somewhere in the middle :(

All these crazy writers should have taken to heart the dictum "ardhamātrālāghavena putrotsavaṃ manyante vaiyākaraṇāḥ". No wonder there are more Latinists in the world.

Not a piece of cake! With the likes of "hṛdayasaṃvāda" and "rasanīyarūpaḥ" I can see we're looking at Sanskrit aesthetic theory, never my favorite. Not to muck up Muckefuck's blog further, perhaps I can send what I've come up with to you or your blog?
