I'm not sure; it's not a word I use all that often.
"Das Schiff ist leck", though, for example (or "Der Kahn/Tanker/...").
"Der Eimer ist leck" only finds one Google hit with quotes. "ist Leck" finds mostly hits with a town called Leck but also some reasonable ones with "Kessel" or "Becken" or other nouns.
As a whole, the construction is probably not that common; "hat ein Leck" is probably preferred. There's also "leck geschlagen" but I'm not sure whether that's the adjective or noun there.
Is focal Gàidhlig "ao-dìonach". Is é an focal is gaire dó seo i nGaeilge ná "neamhdhíonach", ach is ionann é sin agus "permeable, non-protective" (cosúil le droch-choiscín!). Más díon (= ceann tí) atá i gceist agat, is féidir "tá an braon anuas (againn / orainn / istigh)" a rá.
Tá a fhios agam gur "ao-dìonach" focal Ghaelainn na hAlban; ní raibh ann ach rud éigin le hionad a ghlacadh go dtí gur fhéadas an focal cóir d'fháil. Is é an rud atá i gceist anso ná soitheach beag, mar bhosca nó mála.
Níl a fhios agam go baileach. Is back formation ó "sleachta" é. Níl sé san fhoclóir agus is féidir a rá gur botún é ach úsáidtear sách minic é. Mar shampla, as an iris Feasta:
"Ach is é an sleacht seo a leanas an pièce de resistance, áit a scaoileann Féilim a racht gan srian gan teorainn...."
Ach, le fírinne, caithfidh mé a bheith níos cúramaí!
Here fuga is often used for "leak". As in el grifo tiene una fuga. It also used for the musical composition "fugue". The DRAE claims it is from Latin: fuga. Probably the origin for "fugitive" as well.

"Seo muid," arsa Hagrid, ag moilliú ar a choiscéim. "An Coire Ligeach. Áit chlúiteach é."

Cad'na thaobh go scríobhair "sleacht" in áit "sliocht"? An é litriú Iar-Chonnachta atá ann? An é sin an blas atá ag Hagrid?
