muckefuckIt's with mixed feelings that I regard the completion of the plaza. There's no downside to not hearing the thud-thud-thud above my head every day, but some of those guys were really hot. On the other hand, the demolition of the steps only a few feet from the only public entrance to the building without so much as a flimsy plywood fence to keep patrons from being showered in concrete dust is 100% doubleplus uncool.
One unalloyed positive though: Final Cubs night game of the year! No more being surrounded by clueless suburban twits in blue when I come home on the El! Last night, I was inches away from yelling out "ANY CUB FANS WHO ARE RIDING THIS TRAIN INSTEAD OF THE EXPRESS THAT STOPS RIGHT AT ADDISON ARE IDIOTS!" All that stopped me was realising how redundant it would be: They're Cubs fans, ergo by definition idiots.
Cubs suck, the Mets are pond scum (No wildcard for you--HA!), GO CARDS!
