Incorrigible me

Man, I have got to stop doing this to myself. Starting with a surprise bout of reflux on Monday, I haven't had a solid night's sleep all week. Yesterday I even tried cutting out all sugar and spice, and it might've worked, too, but then I got caught up in a project and was up until 1 a.m. anyway. I'm a little embarrassed to talk about it, but let's just say that I continue to be astounded by what can be found floating on the Web. Proto-Austronesian wordlist? Sure, have fun! Searchable Encyclopaedia Iranic? Knock yourself out, just don't stay up all nigh--oh, never mind.
So somehow it's Epiphany and I never got around to posting about New Year's. Still worth doing at this point? Given that I haven't the foggiest what I did for the holiday last year, I suspect I should make a few notes if I want any chance of remembering it a year from now.

I don't remember whether we announced it officially, but moderation is on for entries that contain links to other sites, in an attempt to pre-empt spam bots who join communities and post advertisements with links to other sites.
In an attempt to make it less intrusive for normal posting, the moderation is only for entries with link (something that's only become possible recently), there's a whitelist of permitted domains, and it's possible to give regular posters the "unmoderated" flag to exempt them from the process entirely. (When a moderator approves a posting, they can set this flag while they do so.)
For what it's worth, I can see that you now have this flag set, so this shouldn't affect you in the future.
