For the longest time, I didn't realise that "Type A personality" was a term that had its roots in actual medical research. I thought it was simply a coy euphemism for "asshole".
You know, I don't think "asshole" when I think type A at all. I wonder if that says something about me or my understanding of the defintion of the term.
I tend to think of competitive, ambitious, aggressive, highly focussed when I think type A.
It's true those people can be assholes, but I don't think it means they are any more than Type B.
So, like I said, not sure if it's me or my understanding of the term. :)

Having read the wiki, I would like to suggest that its use as a euphemism might continue?
