Lying in it
I'm afraid this may be another do-nothing day for me. I've taken it leisurely all morning even though I really should drag my ass to the market on behalf of poor
monshu, who's laid up with a bad back. Earlier I had the excuse that it was raining, but not now. A little while ago, I overheard two of the more active neighbours discussing the beds on the parkway, so I went out to see what was up. (And, not incidentally, to protect the fortunes of my thriving woodruff plants.) One of them apparently had a bug up his bum about the lack of edging around the tree in front of his apartment, so they're reapportioning edgers, something which requires a fair bit of digging and moving dirt around.
I happily volunteered the two supporting the meerkats in our garden plot, plus one I found sitting near the composter. And I considered get my hands all dirty pitching in. But then I remembered how I destroyed my back building the other three in the first damn place on the whim of the other neighbour, and decided that if this is what they want, they can damn well build it themselves. Apparently they've also got a notion to replant some of the daylillies from the corner. I can't imagine they'll take in such a shady place, but at least it'll thin out those clumps a bit.
