According to a couple of sources, the standard getting-acquainted question for South Side Chicago Catholics (in the same way that "What high school did you go to?" is for St Louisans) was once, "What's your parish?"
I propose that a modern equivalent for northsiders could be, "What's your Thai place?" (With the understanding that this is not necessarily your favourite Thai place, just the local joint you call you don't feel like cooking and you turn to your SO [if applicable] and say, "You just wanna get some Thai food?")

I miss being able to call, say I'd like to make an order for delivery, and have the guy on the other end say, "Okay. Do you want the same thing and are you in the same place?"
