an hidrigin agus an níolón.. nothing wrong there, just finding it amusing that they're on your list!

There's a lot of amusing choices in the book itself. I left off an cheallalóid because the only reason I can imagine for its inclusion was its traditional use in shirt collars. Agus ar chualais riamh "an aibhléis" sa theanga beo?

"sa teanga bheo"

Cloisim go minic é, ó dheas agus ó thuaidh. Níor chuala mé i gConamara ariamh é, áfach.

Agus an bhfuil leasainm ann atá ar "theilifíseán"? "Teili", b'fhéidir?

Bheadh dealramh le "teilí" is dócha. Ní fhaca mé scríofa riamh é ach is cinnte go gcloisfeá é.

Ach anois agus mé ag cuimhneamh air, b'fhéidir go gcloisfeá díreach "teilifís" é féin níos minice i gcumarsáid Ghaeilge ná "teilí"...

BTW, ISTR hearing a word along the lines of "lyower" (starts with "lli" as in "million", rhymes with "flower power") -- is this Irish, spelled "leabhar", and means "book"?

Cinnte, it is.
