• It's still hot and muggy up here, but there's a good breeze blowing, so it felt very comfortable sitting in the shade watching dragonflies dart to and fro. There was also an insect that looked like a paper wasp, but jet black. I don't know what the hell it was, but it was freaky.
• In the luncheon line, I ended up next to someone else who shares my aversion to tomatoes. And I don't mean he just doesn't like them; when the cook asked him about it, he said, "They make me gag." Interestingly, he doesn't have a problem with them in salsa, whereas for me this depends on the size and freshness of the chunks.
• Tomorrow I'll be going to the Von Steuben Day Parade with cuore_felice34 and Nuphy. If anyone wants to look for us, we'll be in a big-ass tent with about two hundred other fat men.
• A week from tomorrow, we'll be going to Celtic Fest. Saturday night has shows by Welsh rockers Here Be Dragons and Welsh-born ex-Mekon Jon Langford backed by a full Welsh choir! (After reviewing the lineup, monshu said he wasn't sure I wanted to go Saturday rather than Sunday. I swear, it's like living with an alien sometimes.)
• And we're only about one month away from departing for China, which I'm NOT FREAKING OUT ABOUT AT ALL NO NOT ONE BIT THANK YOU!!!!
