(At first, I thought "Tyrewala" might be one of those awesome Mumbai Parsi surnames like "Contractor" and "Engineer", but apparently it's a Muslim name.)
I Goggled this (in assorted variant spellings) and found that it seems to be a common urban legend. In The Hindu, Sangeeth Kurian writes, "There is even a Parsi joke that there once lived a gentleman in a small manufacturing unit called Sodabottleopenerwala." But several other less reliable sources refer to the name as actually being in use.
