Down and up

Yesterday, I'll confess, I was just a little put out by the outage at 365 Main that took down LJ. I had three entries I'd been writing in my head and hoped to commit to bits during my afternoon shift at the InfoDesk. Of course, they're still in my head, but I won't have a block of free(ish) time like that again today.

But nothing can go wrong today. Why? The cute bear spoke more than two words to me! I walked right up to him and asked, "Where do you get your buns?" As it happens, Chiu Quon--hey, that's my favourite bakery! So now I know (1) like 90% of bears, he's not standoffish, he's just terribly shy; and (2) despite the white, he seems a lot younger than I would've guessed. Like closer to 40 than to 60. (I'm sure you're relieved to find out, Big Guy, that pace Paul, the chances of me running off and marrying him just dropped a bit!)

I have to ration myself very carefully because I so do not need all the sugar and salt that's in one of those!

Also, I've saving myself for the mooncakes--only two more months!
