My sister completely blindsided me with this one. "I suppose you know why I'm calling...?" Um, is this multiple choice? C'mon, he's a whole month early! Which is good because otherwise it would've been Caesarean. Also, she did not sound like a woman who'd been working hard since at least 4 a.m.

So now I'm an uncle thrice over: AWI and ECI, meet ITI. (Yes, the mystery middle name has been revealed; monshu guessed it with one hint, using an obscure and highly limited supernatural power he possesses.) Sis made sure to tell me she's okay with the nickname "Ike", which rathered dampened my enthusiasm for it until e. pointed out that this is only a cheap pre-school teacher ploy to do exactly that. D'OH!

Now I'm hoping more than ever that he'll be just in time to witness the Cardinals' first World Series win since 1982. Too bad Isringhausen isn't in it this year, because "Izzie" has a nice ring to it, too.
