Mighty Carlos has struck out
I had a clever roundup of the series planned for this entry, but I'm just too tired to go through with it now. Thank heavens I took the morning off tomorrow.
It was an exhausting game, tied 1-1 from the top of the 2nd until the the top of the 9th when Molina got a breathtaking two-run homer over Chavez' head to make up for the truly unbefucklinglievable catch Chavez made in the 6th to rob Rolen of a three-run homer. Then the Cardinals' rookie closer almost blew it all in the bottom of the 9th by loading the bases in advance of power hitter Delgado before striking him out on three pitches.
(For those of you who don't speak baseball, the executive summary is "Drama, honey; lots of drama. Like one hundred times the drama of the Project Runway season finale.")
I'd like to dedicate this entry to the trash-talking
princeofcairo. To repeat what I told you a week ago: Yes, I do think the Cardinals will pull it out.
