It was the eve of mollpeartree's and princeofcairo's wedding. his_regard came upon lhn in conversation with an older couple.

lhn: Where are you staying?
Older Man: House of Usher. There's a plaster head of Hell in the lobby.

At this point, his_regard steps up and says "You must be Mr Hite."

(Yes, I did just blatantly appropriate another man's story and still another man's style of presentation. It was in a noble cause, so how dare y'all be petty!)
