But the BBC's Central Asia correspondent, Monica Whitlock, says the fact that some of the demonstrators are carrying pink banners while others carry yellow suggests there may be difficulties later finding common ground on more complicated political issues.(Suggestion to BBC management: For your next Central Asia[n] correspondent, why not pick someone who can read the banners?)

What startled me about the whole deal there was that the first place I heard details about what was going on was on 'picture of the day' sites; even the NPR & BBC feeds I get had little to nothing.
that or else, i was too wrapped up in WoW. It's an old arguement I had with the Dipstick- what excatly do you get out of being knowledgeable about whats going on in the Big wide World?
