In other news, sliders appeared in the machines in the upstairs lounge and Pablo goaded me into purchasing a pair. (I tried to resist, but they had cheese!) I'm paying the price for that now. He said that watching me eat them tempted him to get some his own self, but he thought that only one of us should eat White Castles at any given time in order to ensure proper continuity of leadership.
I've got some ideas rattling around inside my head following a conversation with an ex-coworker who's studying at UoC's SoSSA, a follow-up with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
monshu, and the latest elitest rant from chrislehrich, but they're too jumbled to do anyone any good in their present state. If only I could concentrate on something besides the bombed state of my belly!

Though I now live just a mile away from a White Castle (and in a rarity for Chicago, one in a safe neighborhood -- the execution of a federal judge's family this week notwithstanding), I only go for sliders every six months or so when a craving strikes late at night. The trick is to also drink one of their chalk-like milkshakes to line the stomach.
