Awesome weekend

monshu's Thanksgiving Dinner for Two (plus Leftovers for Twelve) was utterly tasty; as a bonus, we discovered what sour cream can do to liven up pumpkin pie. I got weepy watching Lilo and Stitch again. We rose early the next day to hit the shops. For less than the cost of a new iPod, I picked up a camel's hair jacket and black-brown wool-cashmere slacks from Jos. Banks. We stopped by Fox & Obel before and after a movie at the River East, so they ended up supplying all three meals that day. Despite my misgivings, The Ben Franklin Code ended up not nearly as sucky as I had feared. Saturday, I was finally got some straightening done, then went over to the GWO's for Thanksgiving Dinner Redux with ottr4bear. We talked a lot about the shenanigans of the previous weekend, which led naturally into a question about whether or not I could still fit into my harness. (Verdict: I can! Yippee!) Sunday was a leisurely shopping stroll through Uptown followed by lomo burritos chez moi. Overall, it seemed to me that a larger percentage of the time was spent free of anxiety, living in the moment than any comparable stretch of time for months on end. A mini-vacation in every sense.
