Bomb the government
Trailing the Socialists by 4% of the popular vote, Aznar's Partido Popular has admitted defeat. Now the same party that brought us the mantra "What Seville wants, Sevilla gets" and a dirty war against Basque separatism is back in power. Congratulations, whoever y'all are, you apparently got what you wanted with your 13 well-placed explosive devices. The precedent this sets does not make me at all sanguine when I think forward to the American presidential elections this fall. Terroists of the world, on your mark! With less than the payload of a single bunker-buster bomb at your disposal, you too can get your most hated enemies voted out of office! It's all in the timing.
Edit: The PSOE leader announced today that he will be withdrawing Spanish troops from Iraq. Are you paying attention, would-be liberators? When it comes to taking back Iraq, a thousand car bombs and mortar strikes in the Sunni triangle don't have the effectiveness of a dozen well-placed, well-timed strikes in your occupier's capitol.
