Good neighbour award

I meant to write up this tale yesterday (in fact, I even told someone I neglected to call to look here for the reason) but never got around to it. It's longish and I've been logorrheic of late, so I'm hiding it with the help of the magical ( LJ cut tool! )

It was much better than katsu; I'll eat it again and again

So I had basically the same thing for lunch as yesterday: deep-fried breaded chicken on white bread. But today it was Japanese, which makes it all different. It's called torikatsu. It was cut into neat little strips. And it came with token shreds of cabbage and a tangy sweet soy dipping sauce.

kaff kaff Maybe a sugary sauce isn't the best thing kaff kaff when I've got I sore throat kaff kaff.

Here's the "linguistically-themed rant" that I promised weeks ago. You know how it is, I've had so many fascinating things to say lately that I just didn't get to it before now.
