Operating on a tip from febrile, I Googled "muckefuck" to see if any spiders had sunk their mandibles into it. I found that this journal is #4 out of over 25,000 hits. Holy fuck! Limit the search to webpages in English and it's #1 out of less than a thousand.

So darkphuque may feel I'm being exclusionary when I post in German, but it seems what I'm really doing is being hospitable to the virtual hoards of German-speakers who must be coming across this space by accident. To them I say:

Grüss Euch! Ihr musst Euch nun ja fragen, was hat dieses depperte Weblog überhaupt mit dem Muckefuck zu tun? Leider ist die Antwort, "Gar nichts." Bitte, verzeiht Ihr die Zeitverschwendung und ich wünsch Euch viel Spass beim Weitersurfen!

I don't object to the German text.

I feel sad when *I* cannot read your journal because you have chosen to exclude me by writing in a foreign language.
An alternative to this would be to provide a translation for those of us who cannot translate the text written in whatever language.
I think its wonderful that there is a German readership, but their existance shoudn't negate mine...atleast so I think...

I do know that cross translating would be difficult...just for the likes of me. But if you love me, Da....you might consider the extra effort.

Getreidekaffee - natürlich ohne Koffein.

Wir nennen *Muckefuck* auch Kinderkaffee oder Carokaffee oder einfach nur Caro. Caro ist eigentlich eine von wenigen Marken; die wohl bekannteste von allen.

Ich könnte mir jetzt einen Muckefuck in meiner Küche machen, auch wenn es nicht ganz das ist, was ich will. Ich mag ihn ja lieber aus Fleisch und Blut:)
