muckefuckGood chat with Blondie this evening. It cracks me up what a super slut he's become since he discovered mobile apps like Growlr. Recently, he was in London banging some hookup when both their phones went off. They checked and it was the same guy pinging them both. I don't think I need to elaborate on what happened next...
The call was light on politics because, in the vernacular of our age, we both just can't even. We've both confessed to just skimming the news from the Middle East or reading it on several months' delay because the current picture is just so thoroughly depressing. Still plenty of angst, though: We commiserated on the difficulties of getting our parents to do any estate planning. Not that we're much better. I made him pledge that, within a year, we'd both have proper wills drawn up. He and I, we sometimes need that kind of external pressure.
He hopes to come out for a visit again in February. Giving up on the annual pilgrimage home will give him considerably more vacation time to play around with. Even so, I do hope I can get out to SF to visit him before too much longer. His laugh is charming, but there's nothing quite like seeing it paired with his bright smile.
