Big news day around here. In no particular order:
- Rob Ford admits to smoking crack but refuses to resign.
fengi said it best: "Rob Ford has now confirmed his status as Canada's longest running Chris Farley tribute sketch." (And that was before today's shambolic excuse for a press conference.)
- Charlie Trotter died. That was one no one saw coming. SSC: I've never eaten his food.
- CTA suspends deadlines for Ventra implementation. This, on the other hand, everyone saw coming. Kinda annoyed now that I bit the bullet and bought (and registered) a card when my brother was in town. But however much the system sucks, we're stuck with it.
- Springfield legalised same-sex unions. I know I shouldn't be small-minded when 70% of the states still haven't recognised this basic human right, but all I can think is, "About fucking time."

And this make Jon Stewart's heartfelt plea to get him into rehab and for Toronto to stop enabling him worth watching. And its uncanny the resemblance between Farley and Ford.
