This is the first "fall-like" day that actually feels fall-like to me. You can thank the drop in relative humidity for that. It was beautiful last night, refreshing the Wind Map and watching the cool front sleep across the nation and replace weak currents from the Gulf with strong white lines sweeping down from Canada.

In just a little while, monshu and I will be making our way to Lincoln Square for Kaffee und Kuchen at Selmarie with Nuphy. After that, it's binge shopping at Gene's, because we'll be able to pack the Old Man into a cab and that means refrigerated items are no longer off limits. Nuphy and I will join the party already in progress on account of Von Steuben Day, and when I get tired of that, I'll head back here to change for my big bear housewarming tonight.

Tomorrow, the GWO wants to check out some street fair on Broadway. I'm game, I guess. After all, this is the weather I've been waiting for all year, and it's enjoyable even with a hangover or bleariness in the eyes. Besides, what am I going to do at home other than another load of laundry?
