When I picked you the cutesy title for the previous installment in this series, I naturally envisioned composing more than two entries total. But the whole situation has been so free of drama or even incident, I haven't really known what to post. Our boarder is out of the house before I'm even up; in fact, his door-slamming functions as my alarm clock. He joins us for dinner we he can and then spends most of the evening on the computer. If I'm watching television, he'll often join me in the den, but sometimes he prefers the office, where there's better reception, or the guest room. The other night, we ended up watching most of the ripe-cheesy 2005 Casanova with Heath Ledger.

He's signed a lease on a place in Edgewater and tonight he was over there cleaning. If all goes well, his entire family will descend upon him this weekend and get him moved. Having him around has been sort of like having a second cat, albeit one who smokes cigarettes and doesn't poop in a box. And does laundry--lots and lots of laundry. The only thing resembling a beef I have with him, in fact, is that sometimes I haven't been able to commandeer the washer when I'd like to, but I'm sure if I just told him ahead of time there'd be no problem. Oh, and it would be no tragedy if he washed a dish from time to time, but given his record with the furniture, perhaps it's best that he doesn't handle anything fragile.

I'm curious to see how much we'll stay in touch after he moves out. He's a really decent guy and we have several friends in common, but there are literally dozens of people I could say that about and, well, see previous entry.
