"Teleskop-Duschstange" also seems to be apposite. Not sure whether it refers to ones that use springs, to ones that you can extend yourself (e.g. by turning), or to both. Though "Duschstange" seems to be ambiguous (judging by Google Image results) between the horizontal rod that holds up a shower curtain and the vertical rod that you hang the shower head on.
