The Death of Imagination

I am sadly unable to find it now, but magdalene1 once wrote an absolutely hysterical entry titled What Your Chick Rock Says About You. I especially wish I could remember what she said about Aimee Mann, since when monshu and I were on the outs, I played Whatever and I'm With Stupid (again, back to back on cassette!) approximately 500 times. All I can recall of the entry now is the deathless line, "Trust me: If a woman is playing Aretha, she is not hoping you will walk through the door any minute and apologize."
