Thank you. What a mellowing read this has been.

I just got two pots of herbs for my birthday and bought some sky blue morning glory seeds (the landlords told me they wouldn't mind). Also a flashback in a way - I first got my hands on American morning glory seeds back in Soviet Union in the beginning of Perestroika when i was still in school: there suddenly sprang up an improptu stall selling those wonderful exotic seed packets (with bright pictures!). I bought the lot: kale, rutabaga, cantaloupe, Californian poppies, all this never heard of before stuff.

I never planted most of them though my grandpa had a small garden lot 100 km away from Moscow. Ultimately I just gave most of them away to my Mum's colleagues of horticultural persuasion but I had luck with morning glory - it sprouted and grew on the window-sill in our tiny urban flat between the geranium pots and even occasionally blossomed with those lovely trumpets turning from bright sky blue to delicate shade of lilac in the evening.

And now I will have much more scope for it what with the backyard and the front porch.
