Wouldn't "resbalar" fit better with "rutschen" and "sciorr"? And "glisser" au lieu de "déraper"? Cén focal Béarla atá ar intinn agat?

It depends. Patinar is very generic. In this context, it's correct. Resbalar is what happens when you walk on a wet floor.

However, I need to correct something from the use of the "pretèrit perifràstic" in Catalan. Either you use it all the time or you use the more formal/literatry pretèrit perfet simple:
"La moto va patinar i va anar a parar a la cuneta" (ellpsis with the out of the road).
"La moto patinà i caigué a la cuneta" (more formal)

Similar verbs are "lliscar" (like spanish "resbalar"), glissar and derrapar (the lattert is what you do on purpose, like during a race).

Regarding spanish, again you need not to explain that it went out of the road... "La moto patinó y acabó cayendo en la cuneta." If you need absolutely to specify the type of road, bear in mind the following:
Camino: no asphalt
Carretera: two-lane road
Autovía: freeway
Autopista: turnpike
We're very specific. If the type of road is unknown, we say "carretera".

For the French, I presume "la s'est allée" should be either "elle s'est allée" or "s'est allée" without subject pronoun entirely (though I'm not sure whether French allows for eliding the pronoun there).
