Gettin' busy

muckefuckWhen will I ever learn? Half my problems come from not being satisfied with one evening per day. Last night, for instance, I had time to (1) cuddle with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
monshu; (2) do linguistics stuff online; or (3) catch up with DS on the phone--but not all three! But since I couldn't settle, I came up short on (1) and deprived myself of a good night's sleep to boot. I needed that sleep, since one way or another I'm going out tonight.
I've put off seeing El crimen ferpecto so long that I'm left with one last chance to catch it in the city before it moves to the suburbs. If I can get assurance frombunj and e. that they're willing to make the trek with me to Highland Park on Saturday, then I'll put it off; after all, it sure would be fun to see a film set in Madrid department store with a madrileña. Otherwise, it's me and whoever wants to tag along at the Landmark Century (Clark and Diversey, erstwhile epicentre of gay Chicago) at 7:35 p.m. tonight.
If I'm not going to the cinema this evening, however, I have an invitation from DS to come to Bears Night Out at Big Chicks. There is one snag, though:monshu's ex will be there. This isn't a problem for me except insofar as it's a problem for him. The last communication I had with him was a fuck-off-and-die letter six years ago. He was so furious with me that monshu asked me to use a different el stop when I came to visit him for my own safety.
But six years is a long time. Word from DS is that he's in love again and inching toward settling down. Does that mean he's willing to let bygones be bygones and at least feign civility? If I don't go tonight, DS will test the waters on my behalf, casually mentioning me within earshot and seeing if it leads to any twitching, muttering, or apoplexy. If I do go, well, I know that Michelle doesn't stand for any shennanigans in her bar--and I have more friends there than G does.
