(no subject)

Autumn first cropped up about three weeks ago and now it's well settled in. I'm loving everything about the weather these days except for the dryness. It hasn't rained since last weekend and there's no significant chance of precipitation again before the end of the month. Today I broke down and began sprinklering the yard in Scooter's absence. I only got about half of it done, so tomorrow night I need to start earlier.

As is often the case, it seems like there is plenty going on but not much that I feel like writing about. I read. I watch movies. I try to stay on top of developments at work and with my family back in STL. Opera seasons starts up again this weekend. It's probably also not to soon to start repotting plants in order to take them inside. I'm anxious to start pruning as well, but best to wait if the shrubs are stressed from the lack of water.
