Eyes wide shut
Lovely crowd at Bear Game Night tonight but I just didn't have the stamina. At first we were given 11 p.m. as a closing time, but our host later informed us that the downstairs neighbours "couldn't hear a thing". *dies with envy* But by then I was falling into a doze on the sofa in on the sun porch; the only thing keeping me awake, in fact, was my flapping jaw.
All in all, though, not bad given that I thought I wouldn't make it there at all. The zinc seems to have worked, but I still found myself super draggy today, unable to do anything productive until after a midday nap that I never wanted to end.
monshu was keen to escape the home now that it's become his work-away-from-work so we met up at jinju. Same wine, same waiter, same appetisers--how many years have been coming there? The only thing I really wish they'd change are the sinks, which were awkward by trendy back when and are awkward and shabby now.
Tomorrow it's time to pay the piper: I've got clothes to buy for a family wedding and I've procrastinated on that just about as long as I can possibly get away with. It's a wonder the gays still accept me: I could never pick out another piece of apparel for the rest of my life and it would be too soon. I love my family to death, but they're really not doing their job when they gift me with anything else at all. (Which reminds me: who's coming by next month for raclette?)
