Triviales

• Thanks to linuxcub, I've reconnected not only with teddy64se but with another acquaintances from that same crazy weekend through Facebook. We'll see how long this lasts, but in the meantime it's a wonderful exercise of my flabby German and emergent Swedish.
• Speaking of exercise, I tracked down the free weights (they've been reproaching me from a dim corner of the den so long that I ultimately blocked them out) and did a few reps. I thought it would be easier with my new crutchmatic physique, but--as gopower warned--the muscle groups involved must be slightly different.
• Poor monshu was in a foul humour last night. I was out of sorts myself and things might've turned ugly if not for the timely interjection of Glee, which distracted the Old Man long enough for me to run to the store for emergency rations of bitter chocolate.
• Paid some more medical bills last night and, man, did I lose the lottery this year. My HSA funds are gone, and I had to think twice about signing up for "don't get sick" coverage again this year. What are the chances I'll do something exactly this stupid next year? is the $1400 question, and not one that I'm in any way equipped to answer.
• So what did that buy me? Today I was actually able to make it to the shuttle stop in 9 minutes--my usual time before this shit went down. Now the goal is to manage it without continuous foot pain.
