Crush of the now: When Mr Chrome Dome with Pushbroom Moustache and Ghetto Booty first appeared at the top of the steps, I said a silent prayer to Guan Gong to steer him to my desk. Alas, he charged straight down the corridor. But the gods do work in mysterious ways and he came by nearly ten minutes later to request a guest pass. As he was filling out the form with his great meaty hooks, I got a chance to check him out but good and saw several square inches of chest covered in SILKY WHITE HAIR. Thank goodness I cleaned the pipes before I left the house!
(Sorry, bear peeps; getting that miniature spy camera installed in my spectacles is on my list of resolutions, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.)
As enjoyable as an afternoon of leisurely snacking is, it's just about the worst thing I can do for my reflux apart from eating rich food and washing it down with alcohol. Wait, I did that, too! So come bedtime, I was royally fucked and had to take the full dose of Tums and force water and wait until I was able to lie down. Still so worth it! I took the morning off to try to catch a couple more hours of shut-eye, but I didn't want to blow off my desk shift for the second week in a row. Turns out my supervisor was counting on that anyway and had it covered. But now Mr K has come by with his soft voice and shapely belly, so the decision to come in is completely vindicated. Huzzah!
