I've had a vicious rant about the recent flooding in the Midwest roiling inside me for some time, but after putting my foot in my mouth all the way up to my hip with my ill-considered remarks on Katrina, I've decided that the better part of valour is not to comment. (Despite the fact that Midwestern floodplain development is something I know considerably more about than anything concerning New Orleans, a dozens times next-to-nothing still doesn't amount to very much.)
