First rant of the day: Ass-sucking Eudora
I stayed late last Thursday struggling to get Eudora to deliver all my employee evaluations to my boss so she could review them during the time I was away and I could go ahead with them this week. When I tried to send a letter with all three as attachments, it told me it couldn't open one of them. So I resent just that one. I got the same error message again. So I printed out that one evaluation and slipped it under my boss' door before I left.
I'm back for five minutes (and in a pissy mood already for any number of petty reasons) and I find out from my boss that the one I printed out is the only one the programme actually sent. "You might want to report that to IT," she said. Well, we're going to be dumping Eudora for the Microsoft VDS soon anyway, so why bother? I just can't get over it, though. MSWord files on the Desktop, sent as attachments--could it be much more blood simple? Yet it's still more than enough to make Eudora choke.
At least everything else seems to have gone to plan in my absence. Work appears to have been completed, workers renumerated, and crises averted. If I could just get over my "Rather Be Anywhere But Here" mentality, this could be a smooth and rewarding day.
