Getting ready

After many false starts, we've finally decided to begin our day. There have been some small hurdles, like trying to find boxers for me. (I left all my pairs at home.) Fortunately, monshu has a darling pair of black silk ones that no longer fit him. I went on about how good they would look as I showed off my new dance moves.

"You'd better hope they play some Uma Thule then."
"Uma Thule? I think you mean Umm Kulthum."
"Oh yeah, whatever."
"Uma Thule is like Umm Kulthum, only she comes from much further north."
[turns on me]
"She's the most highly-regarded traditional singer in Greenland!"

We also worked on polishing our manners:

"We've got to remember not to call him 'Dildohead'."
"What was that new name you came up with? I remember you saying that we had to start calling him that instead."
"I know what you're talking about, but I can't remember it either. We need to think of something."
"Yeah, it's hard to call him 'Dildohead' to his face."
"No, it's far too easy! That's the problem!"

Now we just need some sausage and eggs and french toast and orange juice in us and we'll be all set. BRING ON THE BEARS!
