Last night, I really felt like Action Boy. I was still grooving from my sudden surfeit of candidates (still at least one more interview to go--who thought I might end up spoilt for choices?) and tackled a bunch of small crap that's been piling up. I spoke to Room & Board and got them to take my broken bed back (not until next Thursday, though). I got money, bought brushes, grabbed takeout, and brought it all to
monshu. There, we discussed plans for a trip to SF next month and looked at ticket prices. I went back to my place, grabbed one of my new brushes, and applied another coat of stain/poly to my new kitchen table; it took an hour, or roughly half the time it took
monshu and me working together to apply the first coat. Either I'm getting better or just getting down with my sloppy self. I did the dishes. I called friends in SF and cleared my dates with them. Then I took the super glue I bought almost a month ago and repaired the teapot lid that's been broken since Dutch Boy visited last spring. I took out the needlenose I bought on Tuesday and repaired my geekboy key case, which is beautiful and very handy except for the habit of some of the clasps which hold the keys to come undone.
Looking back on the list, it doesn't seem like I got as much accomplished as I felt like I'd done, but that doesn't dampen my spirits, which have been high all morning despite the Divisional Meeting. There's a lot to tackle this weekend and I should do it while I have the energy, since, soon enough, I'll get discouraged again and lie around brooding at the atelier of my life.
