Oh, the shame of it!

A lot of my geek friends like to make things up. After all, most regularly get together and play role-playing games. Some write fiction. They all read extensively, which means that--in general--they have an appreciation for the sound of words, as well as their connotations, associations, and derivations.

Nevertheless, I doubt many would spend a FULL HOUR trying to come up with just the right Ancient Greek name for an invented, voracious crocodile god.

At least I hope so. Someone's got to do work around here if this recession's ever gonna end.
