None of the Spanish is subtitled. For instance, there's that whole scene in the Versailles (another superobvious choice, btw) with Vergara speaking for Perico. This was clearly a director's choice and I'm not sure why he made it except that it ensures that the average viewer's degree of comprehension will be no greater than the main character's.
