WotD Omnibus: Early Spring Flowers

If anyone can tell me why the fuck LJ is leaving so much empty space here, I'll be eternally grateful. Edit: Thank you, my LJ HTML Team!

botún cló: D'fhág tú 'l' ar lár in "feileastram". Tá "an cróch" ceart go leor, ach má chuirtear "earraigh" leis, bheadh "cróch an earraigh" níos nádúrtha. "Dáthabha geimhridh" an Ghaeilge ar "winter aconite".

I took out the extra 'br' tags. I think LJ filters html in entries, and is exacting with the table syntax. Please feel free to copy the source (if you want) and delete this comment.

I don't think those are in his original code. They're being added by something, but I don't know what.

It's probably LJ's auto-formatting. It inserts >br> tags wherever you use a line break, including HTML code.

So if you want to use a table in an entry, you either have to write all of the table code on one line, or disable the auto-formatting and manually insert HTML line breaks where you need them.

This. For lines that automatically stand alone (e.g., the <th> lines) or are just table/row/cell tags, delete all the line breaks between them. In the body of the table, use <br> tags OR line breaks, but not both. I always have to edit quiz results to not have gobs of needless whitespace in them due to this weirdness of LJ's.

Any chance you have the original table code you used? I might be able to help

What are the dots in the middle of the Catalan words?

Punts volants, a.k.a. interpuncts.

BTW, did I get this from you or from someone else?

It's new to me. When do you enroll?

Maine's a bit of a hike for me, even more so after we move :)
