Braver Newer World

Sojutinites! Does anyone remember the casting for [livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo's proposed "Worst Tempest Ever" (the blockbuster film)? What I recall is:
Jessica Alba: Miranda
Robin Williams: Caliban ("He wouldn't need any makeup, he'd just need to take off his shirt")
Val Kilmer: Prospero
I can't remember who Dermot Mulroney was supposed to play; my mind says "Gonzalo", but that doesn't really make sense, does it?

Suggestions for the rest of the cast? Don't hold back--it will have to be awfully stanky to live up to the title, given the depth of [livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo's loathing of Greenaway's Prospero's Books.

Dermot Mulroney was Ferdinand, but I've got no help for you on who we mis-cast as Gonzalo.

I'm thinking Mandy Moore, or perhaps Hilary Duff (or some other vapid pop singer) as Ariel.

Jaye Davidson!

Much more horrific to use Hayley "No, I'm not her brother, that's my actual face" Duff instead.

"Whoa...."

Reuniting Bill & Ted to play Stefano and Trinculo.

Ariel clearly needs to be CGI'ed, with the voice of Gilbert Gottfried.

And as the power-hungry, murderous Antonio: well, let's use a real Italian as the Duke of Milan: Roberto Begnini!
