Notes: 1. Also Muschpoke. May be pronounced with short stressed /ɔ/. 5. Smala is argot, from Ar. زملة "tribe". LA Fr. (spec. Lafourche Parish) chibaigne looks suspiciously like a derivative of Ir. síbín via Eng. shebang.

I didn't realize משפחה had been borrowed into standard German, if that's the etymology (as suggested by wikipedia). (It also seems a little odd to me that "ח" shows up as "k" and not "ch", but I know almost nothing about German phonology.)

Yeah, I found that odd, too. But one of the usage comments I read said this was specifically a North German word, so it's possible it was borrowed into a speech variety without /x/ and then from there in Standard German.
