Notes: The cat did not appreciate the thunderstorm last night. He was curled up at the foot of the bed facing me and I watched his eyes go wide with every thunderclap, only to shut again--sometimes reluctantly--after a few seconds silence. Finally, a sound came which made me pay attention. It sounded like a trickling in the next room, and I got up out of bed to check it out. Remembering a similar incident last year, I went right to the window and immediately confirmed that it was, in fact, hail the size of small playing marbles striking the front windows.
