If only I'd started with one of the others, who knows how far along I'd be now? But my ancestors are from Cork, so I'm determined to learn Munster Irish or nothing at all.
Also, is it just me or is the suppletion on these basic verbs just weird crazy?

I preferred to learn Munster as well, but between the best self-tuition course available being based on Connemara Irish and the fact that the immersion course of the longest duration happened to be based in An Cheathrú Rua, I became a Connemara-head instead. One of my best friends here is a native speaker from Baile an Mhúraigh in West Kerry. I mock her accent endlessly :)
