1,000th post: The Best of TDOI

Just over two years on LJ and I've racked up 1,000 entries. That averages out to about 1.3 per day, so it's not surprising that, if [livejournal.com profile] monshu doesn't see a new one appear when I'm at work, he's likely to call home to see if I'm there sick.

Many writers, having reached this point, would take a breather to allow for some introspection. In order not to disappoint their readers, however, they would run a "best off" column. This strikes me as pure laziness. However, purest laziness would have me blowing off the introspection and sitting back while I let you tell me what my best bits have been. And purest laziness is more my style.

So have at it! Raid your Memories, search your memory banks--hell, download the whole bloody journal and search it. Surely you can come up with one or two entries that were more worthwhile to read than the thirty seconds of work you could've gotten done in that time. And to make it a little easier, anyone who doesn't respond with their favourite bits by this time tomorrow, I will deFriend in a single flush of bitter recrimination.

(Just kidding about that last bit--or am I? No sense taking chances...)

My favorite post of yours was when someone at some college was using epithets and I remember you said something about it that was really smart at the time.

Hmm

I've appreciated the general mundaneness of your writings, tho; nice n simple and totally apolitical. I couldn't think of a one singel entry, the collective whole makes for a nice warm fuzzy feel, tho

This post is obviously the best thing you've ever posted. Ever.

My favorites are all the ones that mention me. Or flan.

The one post of yours that is in my memories is the one I pimped on my own journal, in which we subdivided a conversation so far from its recognizable origins that we simple renamed the new image "Fred" and went about our day.

Oh, some sex post or other.

What a pointless exercise, as I'm currently not friended anyway.

But the naming plants quiz.

Well, I stuck you on my reading list because of the post that ended with the bit about hanging bags of pork fat on Jerusalem buses...
