What makes this particularly bittersweet for me is that it was ottr4bear who first introduced me to Withnail and I. Were we still speaking, he would've been the very first person I would've contacted after learning of Richard Griffiths' death.

He is PROFOUNDLY sexy. The stocky build and vaguely porcine nose is a great start, but what puts him over the top is the gap between his front teeth, which is one of my super-hot hot-buttons. Have not seen the film but from what I glean on the net I gather his character in this clip (from "Withnail and I?") is "flamboyantly gay"? SWOON.

:-) :-) :-) I have a hard time finding films I like so this is going to be right at the top of the list.

Just as soon as I watch the latter half of "Kenny", which is also near and dear to my heart. Kenny is pretty much my romantic ideal... one of the few straight men in the world that I could easily fall in love with and live in eternal but happy frustration.

(If you've ever read Mishima's "Confession of a Mask" - Kenny is my night-soil man. ;-)

Oh awesome, it's on Netflix. I have been real frustrated with them because they have so few indie or foreign films, this makes the subscription totally worth it!!! Like I need another way to waste two hours!!!
