Nothing like lunching at a Celtic-themed pub on St Pat's to remind me that--to the extant this ethnic heritage bullshit means a thing--I take more after our dull German Protestant ancestors than our dissipated Irish Catholic ones.

The American interpretation of St Patrick's day is confusing. As a country you seem to love celebrations that involve set colour schemes.
