For me the single-take bravura of OK Go's piece is highly appealing, though: it's a kind of evidenciary gaze that reminds me of Pythagoras Switch's weird uncle, The Great Egg Race (and which is missing from all its other noisy offspring - junkyard wars etc).
Of course, before all there was Jean Tinguely, but since I can only imagine most of his machines they live in the same part of my head as Flash Gordon's flying islands and the Chess-playing Turk.
In short: nice video, thanks. Especially the anticipatory dancing domino at the start. Makes me think more than gasp. You've seen the Guinness ad?
I've seen it, but it's been a while. There's no question that the OK Go video wins for sheer verve; I was just amused to see that they weren't the first pop group to go this route (although they are probably the first to get as personally involved in the process as they did). And I do like some of the more chaotic touches of the device in the Bravery video, given that the essence of these machines is to impose metronomic order on the objects of daily life.
What a fabulous clip. I'd like to check out the Bravery one as well but the link doesn't work for my country. Do you have a song title so I know what to look for?
Apparently not and I haven't heard of them. This is what it says in the wikipedia article you linked me to: "The Vevo website is currently available only to viewers in certain countries. Viewers with an IP address outside these countries will see the message "We're sorry, VEVO is not currently available in your country. Please stay tuned."
I can't even see if it's on Vevo. I just get that message with a lot of clips that Americans post.

Thanks for the title. *scurries off*
